BRINGING HOME MISSISSIPPI AND LOUISIANA
what is number of lost times?
ReplyDeleteLove all these paintings--absolutely great! Love the sunflower especially!
Now that is a good question Celeste, and having not been with me on the road, I can see where the "lost times" could be entirely confusing. The number is a joke referring to the times I didn't know how I got where I was and had only a vague idea how to get back. Once my iPhone GPS took me way out into the country on a dark night in MS and then announced "ARRIVED". Another time for only a very short distance I was on a four lane road going the WRONG way. Still another time I told the GPS, "yeah, I made a mistake but your correction, as in the "dark night ARRIVED" was so awful, I am not listening to you and I am turning around right now and starting over!"
DeleteGorgeous. Dream's style stands out. What a trip!
ReplyDeleteNow to remember Dreama's advice about light, brush work, color balance, and painting all over the canvas as work progresses. I highly recommend her as an instructor. Her painting and writing comes from her soul.
DeleteWhat great new paintings. Dreama's style is reflected in your lovely work. What a trip ! My oh my exciting.
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks like you had a great trip, minus the 444 times you got lost of course. There is such a pretty light in your paintings. I love the first one the most. It's so inviting. I want to enter that gate and see what's beyond. Welcome home Carol!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much story in this trip. I will continue writing about it, positing photographs and paintings. I am somewhat of an Introvert, but when traveling I never meet a stranger, talk to any of all that I can and hear stories worthy of a book.
DeleteHope you had a great trip, I feel the same as you about leaving a blog! I don't think anyone cares, honestly. Unless you have hundreds of followers, which I don't!!
ReplyDeleteLove your palette knife paintings, great work!!
PS Let me know where and when you will be in Maine, maybe we can meet!!
ReplyDeleteI will be in Maine the last two weeks in July; closest little village is Cushing, not far from Rockland. Where are you?
DeleteThese are lovely Carol, so glad you enjoyed your trip. That folding chair in the field is just begging me to come sit and enjoy the quiet. :)
