    1. Now that is a good question Celeste, and having not been with me on the road, I can see where the "lost times" could be entirely confusing. The number is a joke referring to the times I didn't know how I got where I was and had only a vague idea how to get back. Once my iPhone GPS took me way out into the country on a dark night in MS and then announced "ARRIVED". Another time for only a very short distance I was on a four lane road going the WRONG way. Still another time I told the GPS, "yeah, I made a mistake but your correction, as in the "dark night ARRIVED" was so awful, I am not listening to you and I am turning around right now and starting over!"

    1. Now to remember Dreama's advice about light, brush work, color balance, and painting all over the canvas as work progresses. I highly recommend her as an instructor. Her painting and writing comes from her soul.

  4. Sounds and looks like you had a great trip, minus the 444 times you got lost of course. There is such a pretty light in your paintings. I love the first one the most. It's so inviting. I want to enter that gate and see what's beyond. Welcome home Carol!

    1. There is so much story in this trip. I will continue writing about it, positing photographs and paintings. I am somewhat of an Introvert, but when traveling I never meet a stranger, talk to any of all that I can and hear stories worthy of a book.

  5. Hope you had a great trip, I feel the same as you about leaving a blog! I don't think anyone cares, honestly. Unless you have hundreds of followers, which I don't!!
