THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING
ENCAUSTIC MIXED MEDIA
Below is a small sampling of the Encaustic Mixed Media paintings available.
Are you familiar with Encaustic?
Encaustic painting, also known as hot wax painting, involves using heated archival beeswax. The liquid wax is applied as a final coat to my mixed media, collage stye paintings.
This is an incredibly fun type of art and one that involves scavenging the house and craft stores for three dimensional objects, paper, ribbon, ink and much much more.

DeleteAh Lisa. That is an interesting way to describe encaustic/mixed media art. I do go in search of "stuff"; I have even burned "stuff" and admittedly I never know what I will get. Much of it just happens and lots of it is scraped off!!!!
Pearl of the Sea has a lovely Japanese quality to if. What a fabulous sale or wonderful small art gems.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. You are on a Christmas roll yourself.
