The rain has let up and I am back on the bike worrying whether or not the rain has destroyed these tiny white and rose flowers. I saw them several days back, but where. My bike ride is ten miles in length, five miles each way. I feel as though I must find these little flowers today. It is my last chance. I have finished with about two-thirds of my ride and I haven't seen them...until...suddenly there they are! I applied my bike brakes so hard, I left an eight foot skid mark on the black top of the bike trail. I scrambled down this wet muddy bank...and now you see the result.

And what a beautiful result it is, Carol. I love the depth and the colors...the purple is a wow factor and the little flowers are delightful. It is a winner!!
ReplyDeleteI love this. Beautiful painting!
DeleteThank you so much. I felt like I had a winner even while I was scrambling down the bank. Wildflowers are so beautiful!
DeleteThanks Egretta. I feel like you have become a friend. Wouldn't it be great to meet and paint together?
DeleteHi Carol...I love this.
ReplyDeleteThe design with the angle works very well and also the beautiful color harmony
Thank you Master Teacher. I enjoyed painting this as the settting was so strongly in my mind.
DeleteWe see the beauty only when we seek it. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat is so true. Until I became a painter and truly learned to "see", I didn't see beauty in the simpler things.
DeleteI agree. When I paint something, I see even more. Do you know a lot of people don't even stop to look at a beautiful sky above them?
ReplyDeleteYes, that is sad, isn't it? Sometimes in the evening but especially at dawn (my favorite time of day) the sky runs in shades of rose, magentas and purples. It is absolutely astonishing. I should think about doing a sky painting. I don't think I ever have.
